Meet Clare

My name is Clare Olberz. My husband, Brian, and I have two children. Quinn was born in 2014 and Reed in 2016. I graduated from Western Illinois University with my degree in Social Work and moved to Louisville shortly after graduating. I worked as the Post Placement Director at a local adoption agency and then moved on to becoming a trained birth and postpartum doula. I have always found the months following birth to be an incredibly vulnerable and sacred time for mamas. I believe our culture lacks greatly in providing the support that new families need and deserve. I am passionate about shifting that part of our culture in whatever way I can.

After hearing about placenta encapsulation from several different avenues, I decided that it was something that I would like to try after having my son. It made a world of difference as I suffered from postpartum anxiety along with the normal hardships of becoming a new parent. I wanted to make it accessible to as many women as possible. After receiving my training and certification through Placenta Benefits International, I apprenticed under Amy Adams to become an encapsulation specialist. I feel honored to provide support in this capacity to new mamas and I look forward to serving our community for years to come.
