Hi! I'm Carrie Vessels. I am from the Louisville area and studied Philosophy and Japanese Studies at IU and Kanda University in Makuhari, Japan. I have two wonderful children, Eva (born in 2006) and Arlo (born in 2013). I gave birth at home with both of them, but respect every mom's choice to do what feels best to them. When my daughter was small, I was a military wife, living hundreds of miles away from home and my support system. Working out with a local Stroller Strides was a lifesaver for me as a first-time mama. I became a personal trainer to help other moms feel better about themselves, and I realize now that that was my way to help other mamas survive that first sleepless year!
Now that my children are 5 and 12, I can genuinely say that motherhood is the hardest job I've ever had, with each age bringing its own challenges and rewards. Like Amy, I believe every mama can benefit from placenta encapsulation because it gives them the advantage to better cope with those sleepless nights, teething battles, and more! My goal is to help other mamas smoothly transition to a new family dynamic.
